The Swale Visitor Economy
The Swale Visitor Economy
Existing and new tourism businesses in Swale have access to a dedicated tourism website, can download resources from the Visit Kent Advice Hub and can access our free business support programme for help and support.
Swale Tourism & Leisure Overview
Tourism is surprisingly big business in the Borough, contributing £194 million per year to the local economy and supporting 7% of total employment (Figures extracted from Cool Tourism ‘The Economic Impact of the Kent Visitor Economy 2012’ report).
The scale of tourism is better hidden as it is based around a diverse offer: Pretty villages, traditional seaside resorts, historic town centres, unique maritime and aviation history and a wealth of wildlife and special landscapes make Swale a fascinating area to spend time in.
Tourism and Business Advisory Service
