Unipet International

Unipet International is a market leading manufacturer and innovator of wild bird food specialising in suet-based treats which sells to customers all around the world from local pet stores in Kent to large distributors across Europe and even as far as New Zealand.

Focusing on quality and attention to detail, Unipet now produces a wide variety of products which is sold to some of the most recognisable companies in the country such as Wilko, Pets at Home and B&M. We also produce all the suet-based bird food for the RSPB. This desire for quality is what makes Unipet International the only wild bird food manufacturer to receive a BRC Grade ‘A’ accreditation.

Established in 1993 the company first started on a single farm unit in Groveshurst and has continued to grow up to the 8 unit, 2 ½ acre site it currently occupies on Sittingbourne’s Trinity Trading Estate, where it now employs 77 permanent members of staff with up to an additional 70 temporary staff. Unipet is very proud to have its roots firmly based in Kent. Being the “Garden of England” lends itself to the product it produces and the ethics of the company. It is also a great base for exporting into Europe, which is a growth area of our business. The future growth of the business will see the creation of new roles where it can hopefully utilise the local talent and continue to support other local business by using local suppliers.
