Aldi Regional Distribution Centre

1 June 2015

A new distribution centre near Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey will provide around 400 well-paid jobs.

Planning permission was recently granted for the new Aldi regional distribution centre and offices, which will support their logistics operation in the South-East.

Once complete, the buildings are expected to provide 400 jobs for the local area, with an average salary of £28,000.  The developers have included measures to reduce the environmental impact of the building, which includes extensive landscaping to reduce flood risk at the site.  The main building will also be painted in shades of green so as to sensitively blend into the surrounding countryside and reduce the likelihood of bird strikes.

The Borough is already home to two other major national distribution centres, including Morrisons in Sittingbourne and Marks and Spencer in Faversham.

Aldi are now accepting applications for supervisor and above posts and you can register interest for other roles, including warehouse pickers and HGV drivers. If you are interested in applying for a career at the Aldi regional distribution centre, please visit the Aldi Recruitment website online to access their current vacancies.
