Have your say on our Statement of Licensing Policy

The Licensing Act 2003 controls the sale of alcohol, regulated entertainment, and late-night refreshment. Swale Borough Council as the Licensing Authority is required to prepare and publish a statement of its licensing policy at least every five years.
It is now time to review our policy and publish a new edition. There have been some minor changes to the existing policy that we are now consulting on. The draft policy and details of the changes can be found on the Swale website by clicking on this link below.
The regular review and adoption of The Statement of Licensing Policy is essential in ensuring that our policies and procedures are up to date and effective in ensuring a safe and regulated environment for users of licensed premises.
We would welcome your feedback on the draft policy by no later than 19 September 2025.
