Free Covid-19 safe training and advice service

25 August 2021

Kent County Council (KCC) has recently commissioned a free COVID-19 safe training and advice service from Social Enterprise Kent (SEK).  The Council is keen to support organisations within the Kent area reopen and continue operating in a safe way for their staff and their customers.

The course aims to promote safe practices in the workplace by raising awareness and providing effective methods of infection control.  The measures can also be used by businesses to assess and manage risk.

The course is for sole traders who have a Unique Tax Reference, small and microbusinesses registered via companies house, and charitable organisations registered via the charity commission that operate in the KCC Local Authority area.

The free training will last 3-hours at a variety of times and dates over the coming months, and will aim to assist eligible organisations to:

  • Ensure a safe place of work;
  • Ensure clean and safe equipment;
  • Provide clear information, training and instruction, and supervision on how to manage infection control including COVID-19;
  • Complete robust infection control risk assessments.

For more information and to book a free place, please visit the Social Enterprise Kent (SEK) website.
